United States Student Visa

Strategic Navigation of the I-20, SEVIS, and Consular Interview.

The Five-Stage F1 Protocol

01

Institution Certification (I-20)

Your journey begins only after receiving the **Form I-20** from a SEVP-certified institution. This document is your digital identity in the US immigration system and contains your unique **SEVIS ID**.

02

SEVIS I-901 Infrastructure Fee

Mandatory payment of **$350** is required to activate your record in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System. This must be completed at least 3 days before your interview.

03

Consular Visa Application (DS-160)

The **DS-160** is the most critical piece of written evidence. It tracks your background, family ties, and "Non-immigrant Intent." Errors here are the leading cause of administrative processing delays.

Consular Logic: The 214(b) Filter

Under US law, every applicant is presumed to be an "intending immigrant" until they prove otherwise. To succeed, you must demonstrate **Strong Ties** to your home country, such as family property, job offers, or specialized career paths that only exist in your region.

Consular Interview Intel & FAQ

Demand for USA visa slots often exceeds supply during peak seasons (May-August). We recommend checking for "Emergency Appointment" criteria if your I-20 program start date is within 60 days.

US Consulates prefer highly liquid assets. While savings accounts and education loans are gold standards, mutual funds and stocks are often viewed with higher scrutiny due to market volatility.

This is not just about family. Discussing the "Growth Rate" of your industry in your home country and naming specific local firms where you intend to apply shows a high degree of professional planning.
